The analysis was motivated by an intriguing blog entry from The Kirkland Report, about a senior OPEC member holding an emergency meeting to halt sliding prices.

I then ran a 1 month simulation for WTI, also mentioned by Kirkland. It should be noted again, the analysis isn't based on a lengthy track-record, WTI has only been listed for couple of years.
